Kiawah Island
is basically the same as Charleston – semitropical with an average temperature of 65 degrees. Kiawah is one of Charleston’s ocean islands, located just south of the city. Spring and summer midday temperatures average in the 80s and sometimes climb into the 90s, with cooling ocean breezes. In fall, temperatures can range anywhere from the 60s and 70s to the 80s. Winters are mild on Kiawah Island with daytime temperatures usually in the 50s and 60s and occasionally the 40s. Nighttime temperatures are also mild but can sometimes dip into the 30s. Average humidity is 86 percent on Kiawah and storms are possible anytime of the year. Overall, Kiawah Island has a very pleasant climate, year round.
